Effective May 1, 2015, the Marine Institute’s Offshore Safety and Survival Centre and Safety and Emergency Response Training Centre will no longer be able to accept cash payments for course registrations or the re-issuing of certificates.
Payments for these items can be made in person with VISA and MasterCard, debit card or cheque.
The Offshore Safety and Survival Centre (OSSC) offers a comprehensive range of safety and emergency response training courses to the offshore petroleum, marine transportation, fishing and land based industries.
The OSSC is part of the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University, located at 455 Incinerator Road, St. John's, NL.
Training courses developed by the OSSC are subject to rigorous academic scrutiny. The majority of courses delivered at the centre are also accredited or approved by national and international regulatory or other external approving agencies.
The quality of training delivery is assured by a staff of more than 40 highly qualified and experienced instructors. Additionally, the OSSC, as part of the Marine Institute, an ISO 9001 accredited training organization, is subject to regular audit.
