Miscellaneous
Publisher reserves the right to reject any advertisement. Charges for production work billed
at cost. Insert - consult Publisher for specifications and rates. Credit Terms - Payment terms
for all invoices are Net 30 days. In the event that the invoice is not paid within the 30 days,
the Publisher reserves the right to charge 1% monthly interest on unpaid balances. The Publisher
reserves the right to hold or cancel any ad programs from an account that is over 90 days past
due. We reserve the right to turn any account over to a collection agency that is over 90 days
past due. If an account is turned over to a collection agency, the client will be solely
responsible for any fees related to the collection of the money owed due to the collection
process, including any lawyer's fees.
Agency Commissions
The standard commission rate for agencies on all display advertising is 15%, if paid in full
within 30 days. Agencies are responsible for supplying all materials to the production department
including the advertisement in a digital file and a colour proof copy. Agencies are therefore
responsible for any production charges that may arise if the terms are not fulfilled. In the event
that an agency fails to make payment within 60 days, the advertiser, who shares liability, will be
responsible for payment.
Cancellations
Cancellations are not accepted after the scheduled closing date. Advertisers are advised to consult
the Journal website for specific deadlines. Any cancellation prior to the closing date must be in
writing, and signed by both the advertiser/agency and the publisher.
Colour
All quoted rates include four-colour processing. Digital files should be prepared using a standard CMYK
colour profile.
Page Size & Margins
The standard page size is 7" X 10" (178mm X 254mm), with 3/16" margins on all sides.
Page Bleeds
The bleeds page size is 7.375" X 10.375" (187.3mm X 263.5mm).
Acceptable File Formats
We use Adobe InDesign CS4 on Windows for the production of this journal. Ad files should be submitted in file
types that are natively recognized by InDesign. Acceptable formats include PDF X-la, EPS, TIFF, JPEG, PSD. If
your files are in a different format, please contact us before submitting your artwork.
